to the Master of Arts in Teaching Program at Covenant College.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION . The Master of Arts in Teaching Program leads to initial teacher certification in the following content fields: art, biblical studies, biology, chemistry, economics, English, French, German, history, mathematics, middle grades (language arts, mathematics, science, social studies), physics, Spanish, and theater. Applicants must hold a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution.

The M.A.T. has been approved by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission. Graduates are elibible for initial certification through the Georgia Professional Standards Commission for the above mentioned fields with the exception of biblical studies. All graduates are eligible for certification through the Association of Christian Schools International.

PROGRAM FORMAT . The M.A.T. is an eleven month program beginning in June and concluding the following May. Classes during the summer term meet during the day, while fall and winter classes are in the late afternoon/evening along with extensive clinical practice in area classrooms.
